The E259 series, which was introduced in 2009, is a limited express train that began operation in October of the same year as the successor to the 253 series.

A renewal was announced for March 2023, and the first train with a new paint job was introduced in May of the same year.

• First Car Museum products that allow you to easily display and enjoy precise N-gauge model trains
• Car numbers and car number markings are printed
• Head and tail lights can be lit using the separately sold FM-017 power unit, power unit DC feeder
• Headlights and tail lights are equipped with a constant-light board
• Headlights are lit by incandescent LEDs, tail lights by red LEDs
• Uses black wheels
• Includes straight rail S158.5(F) for immediate display (unprinted)
• Straight rail S158.5(F) can be connected to conventional Finetrack
• Includes wheel chocks to prevent rolling
